There is no infinite canvas and no cloud syncing, but I'm okay with it and I do periodical manual backups with tools like Deja Dup. In place of OneNote, I use Xournal++ instead. I can now do everything I want to without being forced to sign up for an account that continuously sends data to a corporation. I switched to Linux ( Pop OS) middle of last year and have not turned back to Windows since (except for that one game with a pesky anti-cheat). OneNote Office 365 stills syncs flawlessly, so guess I'm stuck with that until I fix this stupid syncing issue. I used OneNote Office 365 for a while before switching to W10 for the cleaner look, and have used W10 for a few weeks without any problems before this issue happened. I've tried signing out and back in again with my school account, resetting the app in Windows settings and launching the app from OneDrive in the web. Sometimes the error message becomes "Saved offline (error)".

From time to time the notebook does sync and I see the cloud icon again, but for less than a minute. Googling it gives very little resources and solutions, all of which I've tried.Ĭlicking the error message gives a dropdown with a Sign-In button that does absolutely nothing when clicked. The error code is E0000024 followed by 5 alphanumeric characters that seem to be different every time.
#Evernote windows will not sync for windows 10#
I'm logged into OneNote for Windows 10 with my school account but instead of syncing like a normal piece of software, the message "Saved offline (please sign in)" keeps showing up even though I'm clearly already signed in and my name is showing up at the top right hand corner.

Can't tell how annoyed and frustrated I am.
